In ancient Norse mythology “Ran” is the goddess of the seas, the water element. She is the queen of the power of emotions and emotional intelligence, our inner depth. This painting is a colourful praise to the woman and the goddess. She is part of my series of paintings of the goddess, inspired by the ancient stone statues of goddesses found world wide.
